The Université Paris-Est Créteil (UPEC) is a major player in the dissemination of academic, scientific and technological culture and trains more than 40,000 students each year. UPEC favours a cross-disciplinary approach to meet public health challenges. Research is supported by 8 Joint Research Units (UMR) including the Mondor Institute of Biomedical Research (
https://www.imrb.inserm.fr/en/) (IMRB), created in 2009. It is one of the main biomedical research centres in the eastern part of the Ile-de-France region, with a national and international reputation. The research teams develop high-level translational research in a wide variety of innovative fields, in direct liaison with healthcare services and a large number of patient cohorts. The IMRB also offers technological platforms (
https://www.imrb.inserm.fr/en/plateforms/) that are accessible to the research community and the business world.

the French National Reference Centre for Huntington's disease (CRMR DGOS), the
Plateforme Maladies Rares Grand Paris Est and coordinates the Huntington’s Chorea disease working group of the European Network for Rare Neurological Diseases. Prof. Bachoud-Lévi has extensive experience in clinical trials: for example, she coordinated the French phase 3 clinical trial on HD gene inhibition (Roche, NCT03761849), led the international Multicentric intra-Cerebral Grafting trial in HD (NCT00190450) and is involved in the global HD platform "Enroll". Prof. Bachoud-Lévi also leads the "Interventional Neuropsychology" team (INSERM U955 E01) hosted both at the
Mondor Institute of Biomedical Research (UPEC) and at the
Department of Cognitive Studies of the Ecole normale supérieure.
Prof. Philippe Remy (MD, PhD) (h index = 48, May 2022) is a full professor of neurology at UPEC. He is the director of the Parkinson's disease expert centre at Henri Mondor Hospital, which is part of the
NS-Park national network dedicated to therapeutic research projects at the French national level. Prof. Rémy has a strong expertise in clinical trials and functional imaging.
Dr. Laurent Cleret de Langavant (MD, PhD) (h index = 15, May 2022) is a lecturer at UPEC and a neurologist at Henri Mondor Hospital. He is currently developing models with machine learning techniques to predict the onset of dementia, in collaboration with the University of California, San Francisco.
Dr. Charlotte Jacquemot (PhD) (h index = 11, May 2022) heads the
Department of Cognitive Studies at the Ecole Normale Supérieure. She is an expert in language care in healthy individuals but also in patients with neurodegenerative diseases. She is developing language assessment tasks for the follow-up of patients and is working on the interaction between language and other cognitive functions, allowing the use of language as a polymarker.
Dr. Renaud Massart (PhD, MBA) (h index = 21, May 2022) has extensive experience in basic and translational research. He supervises scientific projects (set-up, fundraising, planning, follow-up, negotiation of public-private partnerships) for the evaluation and implementation of new therapeutic strategies.
