EATRIS mission is to accelerate the translation of promising scientific discoveries into benefits for patients. We focus our main activities on bridging the innovation gap between the lab and the clinic and we offer services and expertise to increase chances of research to successfully reach patients.

The EATRIS infrastructure’s resources are therefore highly relevant for the research community in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, and include numerous following expertise and services.

Des scientifiques du Laboratoire des Maladies Neurodégénératives (CNRS/CEA/Université Paris-Saclay), membre de NeurATRIS, et du Neurocentre Magendie (Inserm/Université de Bordeaux) viennent de mettre en évidence le rôle déterminant que joue une voie métabolique dans les troubles de mémoire de la maladie d’Alzheimer. Leurs travaux parus le 3 mars 2020 dans Cell Metabolism, montrent également qu’un apport en acide aminé particulier, sous forme de complément alimentaire, restaure la mémoire spatiale atteinte de façon précoce chez des souris modèles de la maladie. Une piste prometteuse pour atténuer la perte de mémoire liée à Alzheimer.
